கூகிள் நிறுவனத்தின் தேடுபொறியானது இனையதள உலகில் அசைக்கமுடியாத சக்தியாக பல ஆண்டுகளாக உலகின் சூப்பர் ஸ்டாராக வலம்வந்து கொண்டிருக்கிறது. இதற்குப் போட்டியான Microsoft நிறுவனம் பல தேடுபொறிகளை நேரத்துக்கு நேரம் வெளியிட்டு வந்தாலும் உலகின் முடிசூடா மன்னனான கூகிள் தேடுபொறியை Microsoftடினால் வீழ்தமுடியவில்லை. இதுவரை Microsoft வெளிவிட்ட MSN, windows live search, live search போன்ற தேடுபொறிகள் இருந்த இடம் தெரியாமல் மறைந்து விட்டன. எனினும் Microsoft தனது அடுத்த முயற்சியாக இதோ மிகவும் சிறப்பான அதி நவீன தேடுபொறியை வெளிவிட தயாராகிக்கொண்டுள்ளது.
