My Final Year Project

Management server for distributed virtual machines;
This would maximize the resources utilization within a Local Area Network (LAN). With the help of our solution a user could use a computer with low performance to do task which requires higher capabilities via another operating system without physically installing it to his/her computer.



Our solution will give a system where a computer which has only one operating system would be able to execute data on any operating system, which the user requested for, with the expected performance criteria, that is, memory capacity, processing power, etc. And also the user would be able to; see the virtual machine which he/she is actually using through remote desktop technology as the virtual machine will be running on a remote dedicated server, suspend the running virtual machine and store the session in the management server so that they could resume the execution in future and many more.



The main target of this project is to facilitate the users in a LAN environment where they lack of processing ability and/or where the users need to operate in multiple operating systems, but they are unwilling to have all in their local machine. In broad terms our project would server for any LAN environment for the purpose of increasing processing ability but for multiple operating systems solutions we are looking at a segment such as educational institutions (relating to IT) and software developing companies.



The technologies such as Virtualization coupled with Remote Desktop will be dominating our project.
